“Pedagogy of the Oppressed” is a seminal work by Brazilian educator Paulo Freire that explores the dynamics of oppression and liberation in education. The book critiques the traditional  model of  banking  education, in which teachers  impart  knowledge  to  passive students, and  argues  for a more  liberal  approach.   Freire  argued  that education  must  be a collaborative process of dialogue and critical thinking,  in   which  teachers and students actively participate in the learning process.  It  emphasizes the importance of  consciousness   raising,  which is the process of developing critical  awareness  and awareness of  sociopolitical  realities.
